Work Exchange at Vaatalya
Join us for a 3–4 week immersive experience at our off-grid mountaintop retreat in Himachal. Live, create, and grow while contributing to a space that's coming alive in the mountains.
- Create & schedule 200+ social media posts (with guidance)
- Build a 30-page photo book documenting Vaatalya's journey
- Design signage & support visual planning
- Edit pre-recorded RAW video footage
- Engage with travelers & bring warmth to the space
- Your laptop & high-end mobile phone or camera
- Willingness to live simply & contribute consistently
- 6–8 hours of focused work daily
- Basic skills: Canva, Instagram, video editing tools
- Complete stay with all meals (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
- Daily guidance & hands-on retreat-building experience
- Immersion in mountain living & simple off-grid lifestyle
- Credit-based system: Earn credits for future stays/accommodation
- Optional wellness experiences (available at cost)

Two-Way Commitment
This is a mutual commitment. When we confirm your spot, we prepare for your stay, meals, and dedicate time to guide you. Please apply only if you're ready to fully show up and complete the entire exchange period.

This is a credit-based work exchange. Your contributions earn you credits for future stays at Vaatalya.
- Credits calculated based on hours worked and quality of output
- Use credits to book future accommodation at Vaatalya
- Exchange credits for extended stays or upgrades
- Credits remain valid for 12 months from completion
Example: Complete successfully and earn credits for a 7-10 day return stay with meals included!

THE REWARD Credits cover your Accommodation and Meals (fixed community timings). Note: Vaatalya is an off-grid space for silence and nature. Stays are invite-only.
